Relationship among production traits, somatic cell score and temperature–humidity index in the Italian Mediterranean Buffalo

چکیده
The temperature–humidity index (THI) has been commonly used to analyse heat stress in dairy cattle, but little is known about its effects on buffaloes. In this study, daily milk yield (MY), fat percentage (FP), protein (PP) and somatic cell count (SCC) data from 808 buffalo cows plus environmental temperature relative humidity were investigate the consequence of stress. Two mixed models evaluate impact THI MY, FP, PP log transformed SCC (SCS). effect was significant for PP, FP SCS, whereas interaction with parity statistically SCS. relationship between positive different magnitude according parity. Association of Somatic Cell Score with Production Traits in Iranian Holstein Cows
The objective of this study was to analyze the association of somatic cell score (SCS) with milk, fat and protein yields across parities. Records of production traits and somatic cell counts (SCC) from first, second and third parity that were collected by the Animal Breeding Center of Iran from 1993 to 2010 were used. All animals were grouped into six classes according to SCC and production trai...
متن کاملEstimation of genetic parameters for production traits and somatic cell score in Iranian Holstein dairy cattle using random regression model
In this study test-day records of milk (kg), fat (g), and protein (g) yields, somatic cell score (SCS, cells/ML) collected by Animal Breeding Center of Iran during 2007 and 2009 were used to estimate genetic parameters using random regression model. Models with different order of Legendre polynomials were compared using Bayesian information criterion (BIC).For milk, fat yield and SCS genetic an...
متن کاملGenetic correlations among body condition score, somatic cell score, milk production, fertility and conformation traits in dairy cows
Genetic and phenotypic parameters for body condition score (BCS), days to first service (DFS), non-return rate (NRR), somatic cell score (SCS), and 305-day milk, fat and protein yields were estimated, using 38930 multiple lactation records of cows across 1830 herds. The cows were daughters of 243 different sires. Singleand multi-trait repeatability animal models were used to estimate parameters...
متن کاملSingle strand conformation polymorphisms (SSCPs) in the 5'- flanking region of Lactoferrin gene and its association with milk production traits and somatic cell score in Holstein cattle
Lactoferrin (Lf) is a bioactive protein present in all external secretions such as milk that plays important role in the innate host defense. Therefore, the Lf has a major role in bovine mammary gland defense during mastitis. In this study, 5’-flanking region of bovine Lf gene containing three single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) at positions −602 (T/G), −600 (A/G) ...
متن کاملSingle Nucleotide Polymorphism in the Promoter Region of Bovine Interleukin 8 Gene and its Association with Milk Production Traits and Somatic Cell Score of Holstein Cattle in Iran
Background: Interleukie-8 is a proinflammatory cytokine and a potent chemotactic and activation factor for neutrophils. It has been reported to be expressed in high levels by various cell types after immune stimulation and mediates neutrophil recruitment in host. Objectives: The aim of this study was to analysis of the relationship between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) at position -18...
